The Melodies of Mother Nature
I am Emma, 13 years old, an 8th grader at Jane Lathrop Stanford Middle School. I am the project manager of this Event.
My love for national parks started during the pandemic, when my family went on two RV trips covering a great portion of the west side of North America. We visited over a dozen national parks, countless monuments, and state parks, each with amazing landscapes and a rich history.
From the stunning mountains of Zion to the geysers of Yellowstone, I witnessed some of the most breathtaking natural and cultural wonders in the world. Exploring these parks not only allowed me to connect with nature but also gave me a greater appreciation for our planet's beauty and its vulnerability.
My brother and I participated in the junior ranger program at nearly every national park we went to. When I pledged to become a junior ranger, I swore to continue to explore and learn about the natural world and share what I learn with others, and I hope that more people will know about the importance of national parks and care about them when they see these beautiful, yet fragile places.
As well as a nature lover, I am also a music lover, and I believe that music is just as beautiful as nature. Music can touch hearts, and combining magnificent music and stunning national parks blends together to form a perfect harmony.
This way, music lovers can come together to support a cause close to their hearts. Protecting and preserving the national parks is challenging, and it can’t be done with just a few people.
Throughout this project, I hope to keep spreading awareness and bring more people who share the same passion as me to join the efforts, and together, we can make a bigger impact!
